The late Jimmy Beck was an avid art collector, and he bequeathed several pieces to be jointly shared by Church Health, MIFA, Calvary Episcopal, and WKNO. Art in the collection includes works by Robert Rector, Ivan Szilard, Adel Sypesteyn, Dale Baucum, Kathleen Holder, Marjorie Guyon, David Johnson, and more. Additionally, the original Jill Steenhuis painting for the 2019 Church Health Christmas card will be on auction to benefit that organization. Photographer Murray Riss has also donated some photography and mixed media works for the auction.
These works will be on display June 24 – July 8 for silent bidding at ANF Architects. A reception to view and bid on estate artworks will be held on Friday, June 24, at ANF Architects, 1500 Union. A preview is open to the public from 3- 5 PM, and a full reception will take place from 5-7 PM. Additionally, interested parties may come to ANF come see the artworks from 9am – 5 pm Monday through Friday until the close of the show. Bidding will end at 3 pm on July 8.
