Starting today, April 6, MidtownMemphis.Org has launched #MidtownMonday in response to the economic shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, and as “a movement to support small local businesses starting this Monday and continuing every Monday after.”
Why: Midtown Memphis is home to Memphis’ business hub, restaurant scene, and local “mom and pops.” Small businesses are getting hit the hardest from an economic standpoint during this global pandemic. It would be a great tragedy to the neighborhood and community, if Midtown businesses had to shutter due to revenue loss from COVID 19, but, our biggest concern is the health and income of businesses and their employees during this time.
What: #MidtownMonday is a campaign to encourage you to shop at Midtown grocery/ corner store/ business and/or to order lunch or supper as take-out on Mondays.
