Thank You, Cooper-Young, for 40 porches, over 100 bands, Porchfest & Yard Sale.

Cooper-Young’s annual Porchfest was last Saturday, April 15, from 12-6 PM, and the neighborhood posted a big Thank You to Memphis for making it another great year in this ‘young,’ 3-year-old event.

Cooper-Young! Memphis! Porchfest this past Saturday was so beautiful and we couldn’t have done it without all of y’all — hosts, attendees, and of course THE BANDS! Thank you all so much for coming out, sharing your houses, sharing your talents, sharing your time, and creating this gorgeous afternoon. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

To this we say, No, Thank You CYCA for dreaming up this dreamy event.

Staged on the eclectic porches of the historic neighborhood, the volunteer event features local bands playing on residents’ porches, and is a grassroots celebration of spring, music, and Cooper-Young. The neighborhood has over 100 bands lined up to play on 40 porches across the neighborhood.

Details and a downloadable map from Cooper-Young are here or below.

Coupled with Porchfest, the CYCA is also bringing back their annual community yard sale tomorrow morning, setting the stage for a day of fun, reconnection, music and community in Cooper-Young. CYCA will be holding the yard sale tomorrow morning, 8AM-12PM(ish).
