November 12: Running for Freedom from Human Trafficking in the First Ever Free 901 5K/10K

On November 12, 2022, at 9:01 am, Restore Corps will host the inaugural Free 901 5K/10K. A race for freedom, the event will raise both awareness and funds for the fight against human trafficking in West Tennessee.

Whether you run, walk, or just want to enjoy good company, there is a spot for everyone. In honor of the city, runners will gather at 9:01 a.m. to link arms and move toward a Memphis free of trafficking exploitation. The race route takes participants on a wonderful tour of Downtown Memphis featuring landmarks such as National Civil Rights Museum, Beale Street, FedEx Forum, The Orpheum, Clayborn Temple, and more.

The event will wrap up with an unforgettable after-party at Wiseacre Brewing Company, 398 S. B.B. King, in their fan-favorite taproom. Every race entry for individuals 21+ with a valid ID will include one free Wiseacre beer to be enjoyed while listening to Memphis legends G3, The Garry Goin Group. Starting at 11:00 a.m., pizza will be available for purchase at Little Bettie inside the taproom.

Tickets are available for individuals who wish to run or walk the 5K or 10K in person, individuals who wish to race virtually in a location of their choice, and individuals who just want to enjoy the party. Each registration includes a high-quality long sleeve t-shirt featuring the inaugural race design as well as a custom reusable bag full of goodies. Registration is online here. Share the Facebook event with your friends here.

On race day, check-in begins at 8:00 a.m., and the 5K/10K will both begin at 9:01 a.m. Beer opens at 9:30 a.m. and G3, The Garry Goin Group perform their first set at 10:00 a.m. An awards ceremony kicks off at 10:45 a.m., followed by more music and fun until 12:30 p.m.

All funds raised at Free 901 5K/10K will support the mission of Restore Corps to empower survivors, equip communities in the fight against trafficking, and create systemic change.
