BRIDGES seeks participants for Bridge Builders

Signature Youth-Development Program Bridge Builders has become national model in 35-year run

BRIDGES is now accepting applications for students in grades 6 to 12 to be part of the next cohort of Bridge Builders, the organization’s signature youth-development program.

Regular deadline for the Bridge Builders is April 7, 2023. Students who apply will get notification of selection on April 21, 2023.

“We’ve seen Bridge Builders transform young people in countless ways, and the result is a growing community of young leaders poised to reach across, lead the way, and build our community,” said BRIDGES CEO Dana Wilson. “Bridge Builders are not just the future leaders of tomorrow; youth today want to make a real difference. We are here to support them on that journey. And now more than ever, Memphis needs more Bridge Builders.”

With Bridge Builders sponsors in more than 90 Mid-South schools, it is the largest and most diverse youth-leadership program in the region. During the 2019-20 school year, BRIDGES served more than 8,000 students from 160 schools and organizations and 75 zip codes.
