- Willy Bearden, filmmaker, photographer, author and producer. Recipient of the 2011 Distinguished Achievement Award in the Creative and Performing Arts presented by the College of Communication and Fine Arts at the University of Memphis.
- Wayne Dowdy, senior librarian and archivist at the Memphis Public Library and Information Center. In 2015 he was awarded the Tennessee Historical Commission’s Certificate of Merit for his book On This Day in Memphis History.
- Otis Sanford, Hardin Chair of Excellence in Economic and Managerial Journalism at the University of Memphis. In 2014, Otis Sanford was inducted into the Tennessee Journalism Hall of Fame.
