The ultimate dog days are coming to the Pink Palace Museum beginning September 14th with the opening of the blockbuster 3D movie Superpower Dogs. The movie chronicles the life of canine rescuers from around the world. From hurricanes, earthquakes and avalanches, canine rescuers use their incredible super senses to locate and rescue victims of disasters.
Superpower Dogs 3D movie opening at the Pink Palace CTI Theater September 14th
As part of the movie opening day on September 14th, guests will be able meet some incredible canine superheroes from right here in Memphis. Tennessee Task Force One, a world-renowned canine rescuers team from Memphis, Tennessee, will have a Task Force One Dog and handler on hand to meet and greet guests.
Canine heroes from the Memphis Police Department K-9 force, Bartlett Police Department and Fire Departments will also be present to give demonstrations. Memphis Animal Services will be showing off some of their adoptable dogs.
Sponsors Taming the Wild, Hollywood Feed, and The Doghouse will be on hand opening day, bringing their own superhero canine mascots.
The staff at the Pink Palace Family of Museums is getting into the festivities as well, with an exhibit of photos featuring staff members with their own “wonder” dogs.
Superpower Dogs opening day kicks off with the first show of Superpower Dogs at 9:45 am. Activities will take place from 11 am – 2 pm, September 14th. Activities are free with admission.
In addition to opening day to the public September 14th, all media is invited to attend the Pink Palace Family of Museums Member’s Night Premiere of Superpower Dogs Thursday, September 12th from 5 pm to 8 pm.
