Open Call: Seeking Storytellers to respond to the pandemic

StoryBoard Memphis is excited to announce an open call for professional Memphis-based storytellers, journalists, photographers, and illustrators to document and reflect on local experiences and responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal is to showcase the creative ways individuals and arts organizations have and continue to respond to a global experience at the local level.

Thanks to generous funding from the Tennessee Arts Commission, we are able to commission six pieces to be published in the Spring and Summer editions of the Quarterly Magazine. Selected writers and artists will be paid $750 for their completed commission.

Projects can be personal or journalistic stories, illustrations, photography, or a combination of forms. We are interested in creative storytelling and are open to all proposals, keeping in mind that commissioned works will be printed in a magazine format as well as published online.

Submit your proposal here by November 30, 2021.
