Little Spooks and Glowing Campfires: Fall is in the Air at the Botanic Gardens

A Halloween Hike and Two Campfire Parties Bring in the Fall at the Botanic Garden

Date Night and Family Campfire Parties Warm Up the Fall Schedule at the Garden!

The Memphis Botanic Garden (MBG) is pleased to host two campfire nights at the Garden this fall. The Family Campfire Party, perfect for families with children, is happening Friday, October 6, from 6-8:30 pm, and Date Night Campfire (21+), an adults only evening event, takes place Friday, October 20, from 6-9 pm.

Guests can join in a night of fall fun at the Family Campfire Party on October 6. Delight in an old-fashioned campfire sing-along with musician Joe Oser while making hot dogs and s’mores over the fire. Then, explore the Garden on a guided nighttime hike and learn about the animals that come out when we go to bed. Attendees can also have some bat-ty good fun with Chris Grow from Grow Environmental Services, meet a real owl with Kate Friedman from Mississippi Wildlife Rehabilitation, and stargaze with the Memphis Astronomical Society. Activities, hot dogs, s’mores, chips & soda/water are included with admission (vegan/vegetarian options available). $10 MBG Members/$15 Non-Members. Price is per person. Children under 2 are free.

Date Night Campfire at the Garden on October 20 invites guests to unwind after hours and cozy up around campfires. Guests can roast s’mores & hot dogs, play yard games, make a fall craft, and enjoy live music from Rowdy Franks. Two cocktails, hot dog bar, s’mores, and beer samples from Grind City Brewing Company are included with admission (vegan/vegetarian options available). This special date night is adults only (21+). Admission is $25 for MBG Members and $30 for Non-Members (per person). A special thank you to Grind City Brewing Company.

“As the weather begins to cool off we are excited to bring back some fall favorites with our Campfire Parties,” said Gina Harris, Director of Education & Events. “From the Family Campfire Party to a warm and cozy Date Night we have something for everyone to enjoy at the Garden this autumn!”

Proceeds directly support the Memphis Botanic Garden. More information and tickets are available on the Garden’s website at membg.org.
