Botanic Garden Celebrates 70th Birthday with a 1970’s Themed Party this June

The Memphis Botanic Garden (MBG) is pleased to announce it will host Groovy Garden Party on June 16 from 6:30-9:30 pm in honor of its 70th anniversary this year. The event features cocktails popular in the 1970’s, music, and activities.

Guests are invited to boogie down to the sounds of the seventies at the Garden while sipping on some dynamite drinks. Enjoy a Harvey Wallbanger, Tom Collins, or Aperol Spritz while experiencing a festive evening out at the Garden. Plus a cash bar will be available. During the event attendees can create a beaded hanging planter to take home as well as make their very own pet rock. Guests are encouraged to dress to impress in their best seventies threads.

“We’re so excited to celebrate our 70th birthday with the Groovy Garden Party. The Garden is the perfect place to embrace your inner flower child while you enjoy a groovy night out!” said Gina Harris, Director of Education & Events.

This event is for adults 21+ only. Tickets are $35 for MBG Members and $45 for non-members. Each ticket includes admission to the event, three alcoholic beverages, and small bites.
